A Fashion House with Niche Fragrance Passion

Dries Van Noten founded his eponymous label in Antwerp in 1986, as part of the landmark “Antwerp Six” — the group of Belgian designers who reshaped international fashion with their independent, craftsmanship-driven approach. For nearly four decades, Van Noten was known for his opulent prints, botanical imagery, and an unwavering philosophy: let quality speak for itself, without celebrity endorsements or seasonal noise.

It was only in 2022 that the brand entered perfumery — and the wait was worth it. Rather than licensing his name to an existing fragrance house, Van Noten built something entirely his own, in collaboration with Puig and a roster of world-class perfumers including Fanny Bal, Marie Salamagne, Daniela Andrier, and Quentin Bisch.

The Garden Behind the Perfumes

The creative starting point for the collection was Van Noten’s private estate in Lier, Belgium — a 55-hectare botanical garden he has cultivated for decades. Before any perfumer began composing, they were invited to walk through it. The result is a collection rooted in the same principle that drives his gardens and his fashion: unexpected combinations that produce something more beautiful than either element alone.

The Collection: Genderless, Refillable, Uncompromising

All Dries Van Noten fragrances are unisex. The flacons, designed after 19th-century pharmacy bottles, are refillable — a nod to sustainability without sacrificing elegance.

• Fleur du Mal — A dark, fearless rose with leather and woods. Named after Baudelaire.
• Santal Greenery — Bergamot, fig and violet leaf over creamy sandalwood. Fresh, natural, wearable.

• Raving Rose — A bold rose cracked open with pepper and smoke.
