Ideal Oud is a frank dialogue between oud and rose. The master perfumer becomes here the arbiter of the conversation ...between two raw materials that everything opposes, strength and delicacy, shadow and light.
To tame the power and complexity of oud, master perfumer Alberto Morillas calls on a duo of roses, the Bulgarian rose and the centifolia rose. The oud assumes then the allure of a dark, mysterious flower, enhanced by a spicy touch of pepper and saffron. The woody leathery character of the perfume is finally enhanced by papyrus wood and labdanum. The oud marking this fragrance is therefore neither heady nor animalic, but balanced and nuanced like a silk satin that caresses the skin.
