An absolutely lovely iris ligne claire, superbly shaped by the green and powdery qualities of galbanum and mimosa. Musk and ambrette are used to soften the sharp edges of the ...wooden and floral decorations. Since Le Galion was a reputable house in 1937, Paul Vacher was able to experiment with more avant-garde concepts for his collection. He began working on his soliflore pieces, which focus on a single flower. Paul Vacher’s sculpture of this iris in a symmetry of galbanum and mimosa pays homage to the Art Deco era, which peaked in the 1930s. This makes Le Galion a reference in French fragrance that is sensitive to the arts and the zeitgeist of the time.
